#20171002 - BSc nursing 1st year student from Pondicherry

We can’t imagine how serious the word POOR means in practical life, also it is very hard for us to understand their real feeling from a story. This story is about a poor lady, who’s husband was departed 8 years ago and completely left alone with her 2 daughters when they are 8 & 10 years old. None of their relatives were ready to help her in any way, but she never lose her courage of fighting in this world all alone.

She is now working as helper in a private school and earning Rs.4320 per month. Her younger daughter is now pursuing 11th std in a govt school near Pondicherry, some NGO is taking care of her school fees, books etc. Elder daughter who scored 92% in 10th std & 83% in 12th Std, has joined 1st Bsc Nursing in a college near Villupuram. She has joined nursing from governmnent quota, even after the first graduate consession the yearly fees is around 90K. With the so far savings from her mother, they paid 45K and requesting Aalayam to pay the balance of 45K. After the reviewing the cause, we approve for Rs.45000 to pay the balance fees of first year.

This could be an example to show how deep is our reviewing process in Aalayam, our reviewer find out that mother packs her food given from the school where she is working and feeding her daughters for dinner, as they couldn’t afford to prepare their own food everyday. The family is living in small hut build on a waste land belongs to government. There is no more word for us to explain how poor they are.

By providing education to this little family can erase the word POOR in their future life.
